With over 7 years of experience in legacy project maintenance and greenfield project development, Tay has a proven track record of success in both backend and frontend development. He is well-versed in the Microsoft stack, including ASP.NET MVC & Web Form, WCF, WWF, EF, and SQL Server. Additionally, Tay is proficient in frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and Javascript, including the Angular and React ecosystems. While Tay is a newcomer to Golang, he is always open to exploring new domain knowledge and jumping on the bandwagon of tech hype. He is comfortable adopting and adapting new processes and tools that best suit the product's needs, and he thrives on lean software development. In his work, Tay practices clean coding to ensure that the code is self-documenting and free from spaghetti code and bad code smells. He tackles problems in favor of polyglot solutions, recognizing that tools are a means to an end. Tay also automates the boring parts of his work whenever possible and appreciates the security implications of code and techniques over skillset. Tay holds a Bachelor's degree in Information System Engineering from Campbell University and an Advanced Diploma in the same field from Tunku Abdul Rahman University College.
